PatK story
DJ PatK is a French musician, songwriter, arranger, and producer whose career spans several decades. His journey began in the early 1980s, marked by his contribution to the French hit “Vacances j’oublie tout” (1982), where his signature funk bassline became instantly recognizable — a first remarkable experience in the music industry at just 21.
In the following years, he explored a wide range of styles — from rap and reggae to soul and rock. As the producer and leader of Jamen’s Band, he supported numerous singers and rappers both on stage and in the studio. Among his notable collaborations is Sentinel Diego (formerly of Sexion d’Assaut), for whom he produced two EPs and performed on some of Paris’s most iconic stages, including New Morning, L’Alhambra, and Le Bataclan, with the support of SACEM for music video production (see on Jamen's Band Youtube channel).
After an eight-year artistic hiatus, DJ PatK returned in 2024 with renewed inspiration and a fresh sound blending rock, groove, and electronic textures. This revival led him to reform Jamen’s Band with vocalist Jesse G, drummer Jean-Philippe Dumont “Bob Snake” (formerly of SHAKA PONK) and guitarist Panos Georgalis to create a concept EP titled “Like a Phoenix”, released on October 31, 2025.
Entirely self-produced and accompanied by seven music videos, the project stands as a symbol of rebirth, perseverance, and creative freedom.

Son parcours débute au début des années 80, marqué par sa participation au succès populaire “Vacances j’oublie tout” (1982), pour lequel il signe une ligne de basse funk qui restera dans les esprits — première expérience marquante à seulement 21 ans.
Dans les années suivantes, il s’oriente vers une fusion des genres : rap, reggae, soul, rock… En tant que producteur et leader du Jamen’s Band, il accompagne de nombreux chanteurs et rappeurs sur scène et en studio. Parmi ses collaborations notables figure Sentinel Diego (ex-Sexion d’Assaut), pour qui il produit deux EP et monte sur des scènes emblématiques comme le New Morning, l’Alhambra ou le Bataclan, soutenu par la SACEM pour la production de clips. Après une longue pause artistique, DJ PatK revient en 2024, inspiré par un son moderne mêlant rock, groove et électro. Ce renouveau le pousse à reformer le Jamen’s Band avec le chanteur Jesse G, le batteur Jean-Philippe Dumont “Bob Snake” (ex-SHAKA PONK), et le guitariste Panos Georgalis pour donner naissance à un EP concept : “Like a Phoenix”, sorti le 31 octobre 2025. Un projet autoproduit, accompagné de sept clips, symbole de renaissance, de persévérance et de liberté créative.
Jamen's Band story
Jamen’s Band is the collective of musicians that PatK created in 2007.
The name came from the fact that we did 3 hours concerts in almost total improvisation, and we invited on stage all musicians or singers who wanted to jam with us. This collective disappeared when PatK stopped music in 2016.
Today in 2025, 8 years later, with new musicians, Jamen's Band rises from its ashes like the Phoenix.
Jesse Grélé is a multi-talented French Berber singer/percussionist from Réunion island, capable of adapting to all musical styles. With an exceptional voice that can go from jazz to rock, through pop, funk and hip-hop, Jesse G is an artist who refuses to be trapped in a single musical style.
He started playing the drums in 1978 and played in several Rock and Blues bands: DEMON EYES, NIGHT ORCHESTRA, Jean-Jacques MILTEAU, SAPHO or KIMERA. Between 2002 and 2007, he performed with SHAKA PONK, the French electro rock band, with whom he recorded two albums and made several European tours.
Panos is an excellent Rock and Blues greek guitarist who plays mainly in the caf’conc in Crete.
In 2014, he meets PatK in Paris. The latter regularly going to Crete, they get along musically and humanly, and begin a collaboration that culminates in the project 'Like a Phoenix'.
PatK is a musician (bass, guitar, player)/ author / composer / arranger /producer with very varied musical influences and tastes. He has long worked with rappers whom he surrounded by musicians. Then produced French song and African and Berber World music.
